As stated above, I would suggest graduating from a foreign medical school, take the USMLE’s, and then apply as an International Medical Graduate (in that case, however, it is extremely challenging to be accepted to any of the more competitive specialties). It will suck, and you may have to take a year off to study and do research or something while all your classmates continue on through 3rd year rotations, but it does not necessarily mean the end of your medical career.
Personally, I do think that you would still be required to complete at least some 2 years of attendance at a US undergraduate school. If you are already at a medical school, it might be easier for you to finish the French medical school and then apply for residency programs in the US as an IMG (International Medical Graduate) – if you would like to practice in the US, that is. Generally, medical students begin their studies after receiving a bachelor’s degree in another field, often one of the biological sciences.
